Gareth Clement completed his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at the university of Teesside in the UK (1996). While working in Operations Management in the UK he decided to further his education and studied for his MBA at Thames Valley University (now University of West London) in 2005. After completing his studies he was invited to lecture by the Business Management School at the university. Gareth went on to complete his Project Management Professional Qualification from the Project Management Institute (www.pmi.org) and after further lecturing in the UK this led to a job offer in Portugal as a Senior Project Management Consultant. In 2009 Gareth was invited to join Critical Software being responsible for the I&K (Innovation & Knowledge) dept focusing on the R&D for the organisation alongside being the Project Manager on some of the research projects. The most notable project was the EMMON project (an ARTEMIS/FP7 project from the European Union) and this was worked with 9 project partners, CISTER being one of the project partners.
