Mission

CiTech is the network of CISTER industrial collaborations, including several key industrial players of the Portuguese embedded system's domain. The goal of CiTech is to enable the success of R&D produced by Portuguese actors in the area and boost impact and role in the European innovation roadmap.

Cutting Edge Research Must be Leveraged

CISTER continuously produces research outcomes on cutting edge areas with a permanent focus on real application use of that research. The pipeline of research we use allows us to move from fundamental core areas on reference subjects applied to some of the most important sectors of economy in order to enable high-technology, critical and business-driven applications. This whole process is thus geared towards the ecosystem of embedded system industries.

CISTER Industrial Technology Transfer

CiTech plays an important role in connecting the strategic cluster of Portuguese embedded systems industries with the outcomes of our research pipeline and research network by providing specialized services, interfacing with key international players and providing technological roadmaps to companies.

By being one of the leading European research units in the area, CISTER has all the resources necessary to support CiTech actions, in terms of human-resources, the word-class building hosting the unit, and through the value position of the centre, namely in terms of its consistent acceptance rate in FCT fundamental research projects, participation in the relevant European Networks of Excellence, among many other activities.
