If driving by car follow the directions on the map above (zoom out to get a broader view on the connection network). The "IC23" highway is also identified by "VCI" in same maps and signs.
Visitors park access: At ISEP park entry press the button at the entrance for the security in charge to grant you access to the visitors park (in front of the building). Remember to refer that you came for a meeting with the CISTER Research Unit. If necessary call +351 22 8340502 or use the internal telephone extension 1302.

Getting to CISTER by metro: You will use the metro yellow line ("Linha D") in direction of "Hospital São João". The other metro lines connect to the yellow line on "Trindade" station. Please note that you don't need a new ticket but you must validate it again when switching lines. On the map above you can see the yellow line's "Pólo Universitário" and "IPO" stations, they are more a less the same distance from CISTER Building's entrance. Get out in "IPO" station and turn right when you leave the train. Walk straight through, cross the street, cross to the right side of subway lines, and keep moving on the pathway alongway the line; you can't miss the big white building with red doors and shutters in front of you. From "Pólo Universitário" station, move to the exit in the same direction of the train going to Hospital de São João, keep straight on, and take the main road that turns slighty to the left. The white building with red doors is on the left at the end of that road.

If travelling by train - Campanhã Station (the most used train station). Take the metro (you will need a Z2 ticket, aprox. 1.50 EUR) to "Trindade" subway station and change to the yellow line ("Linha D") in direction of "Hospital São João" and follow the "metro" instructions above. The trip takes less than 30 minutes including waiting time. If travelling by train - São Bento Station, the yellow line ("Line D") metro station is just across the street. Go in direction of "Hospital São João" and follow the instructions of "metro" above (you will need a Z2 ticket , aprox. 1.50 EUR). The trip takes less than 20 minutes including waiting time.

If travelling by plane, the cheapeast alternative is to use the metro network (you will need a Z4 ticket, aprox, 2.00 EUR) to get to "Trindade" subway station and follow the instructions on "metro" above, the trip should take about 35 minutes plus up to 25 minutes waiting time in the stations. Due to the ticketing zone system if you are travelling from ISEP to the Airport you need a Z3 ticket, but if you start at the city center you will need a Z4 ticket. Another alternative is to pick a Taxi and ask for "ISEP / Rua António Bernardino de Almeida" (this will leave you in the main ISEP building, cross the street from CISTER Building), it is the fastest alternative (about 20 minutes) and should cost around 15 to 20 EUR.
