Petr Jurcik was born in 1978 in Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic. He has an MSc degree in Cybernetics and control engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague, in 2003. From 2003, he is PhD student and a research assistant in the Department of Control Engineering at the Czech Technical University. In 2002, he spent 7 months at the Institut ffr Automation und Kommunikation (IFAK) in Germany working on a project for monitoring Profibus-PA fieldbus with Bluetooth. In 2004, he spent 2 months at Universidad Polittcnica de Madrid, Spain working on application for code deployment in wireless network. He has worked for STMicroelectronics in Prague, Digital Secure Access (SmartCards) group as a software engineer for 10 months in 2006. He is interested in network communication, QoS, real time scheduling and currently mainly in wireless sensor networks and response time analysis.
